Staring out the Window

Creativity is not a straight line

"A writer is working when he is staring out of the window" - Burton Rascoe

I like that quote. I work that way often. Short periods or bursts of productivity and creativity followed by long periods of reflection and wandering all over the place. Its worked for me in some roles (unstructured startups) and worked against me in others (middle managment, monthly routines). I'm trying to transition into something that allows me to explore my creative side a little more - right brain rather than left brain - and think that's a good idea to keep in mind.
